2024/25 Sean Dyche

I’d like to see a good manager and then decide if the players are “awful”.

But I know the managers have been utter gash and Sean Dyche, which I’ve said for the best part of 8 years, is one of the worst tactical managers in the premier league
The players, in general, are awful.

But if Dyche can’t get them to defend like he did last season, there’s no point in him being here.

I feel like we have a better team this year than last year. We lost Onana and kept the rest and added ndiaye and tim.

Why are we suddenly worse than the team who comfortably finished mid table without the deduction last season. Other teams such as Palace, Brentford, Wolves all lost their best players, we lost Onana....

You're a very intelligent and level headed contributor sir.

We've been unlucky today against a very good side.

And what did they spend last summer ? And the summer before that ?

What have we spent in comparison ?

We've lost Digne, Richarlison, Gordon, Onana & not had the finances to replace them.

You're drinking deludemol expecting us to be able to turn up at Villa Park and play them off the park just because we're Everton.
No one was, stop talking wet. There’s no excuse though for a manager to have his team show no tactical nouse to blow a 2-0 lead two games running, both times he made subs which were either for the wrong players or at the wrong time because he doesn’t know how to shut things down

No.

My argument is we're in a bad way with or without Dyche.

Dyche is an easy finger point.

I wish I could get onboard with sack him and we'll be sound.

I'm saying before Dyche suggests heavily we just are crap.

It’s not that. It’s that it could at least give us a fighting chance. Currently he is a dead man walking and is not going to turn it around. He is finished at this club.

I have been firmly in the “Sean Dyche will keep us up until we get a new owner” camp for quite some time now.

But, when I saw the team sheet today, and both Keane and Young starting, I immediately said, “Right that’s another loss then.”

At this point Sean Dyche needs to be told starting either of Keane or Young will be treated as him tendering his resignation as manager of EFC.

The flip of that is ‘Keane’s presence has cost us…’

We’re not going to sack him if the rumoured clause is correct. And frankly I don’t want us to pay him out, I just want us to survive and bin him off.

We have enough to stay up comfortably

I'm strangely 'relaxed' about this situation.

We'll be more than ok IMO.

If we get beat by Leicester I'd understand if he were sacked, but the reality of our situation makes that scenario unlikely.

Again, we can point to isolated moments in a game that cost us: DCL scores to make it 3-1 and the game is over IMO.

What can we do? We're just going to have to wait for this form to turn.

No Branthwaite. Our RBs, Gana and Tarkowski are a year slower, Myckolenko has cleared been carrying an injury.

I don't think that's the case.

The players aren't downing tools either.

Sack him tomorrow and bring in someone trendy from Europe or Moyes and we still go to the wire.

Made the mistake of watching his interview. Basically it was all just luck, and Villa took ALL their chances (when in reality they'd have scored 7 or 8 of this were even near true). Has no business being anywhere near the touch line unless he's paid for a stadium tour.
That was his narrative this time, was it? At least it's a new false narrative, I suppose.
