As someone who didn't actually hate him, my god, his stubbornness is astounding. So much of this team's issues are down simply to him playing Keane and Young all the time. I'm not joking, had he played O'Brien and Dixon so far this year we'd have probably 9 points more, that's it and everyone knows it.
It's either stubbornness or arrogance, everyone can see it from pundits to fans, those 2 players are not PL standard and they cost us week after week. He is the only one that wants either to play for Everton, genuinely. He constantly makes a rod for his own back and then gets ratty when fans point it out, fine when you're getting results but when you're not this is clear as day the problem.

No but he coaches them on how to take chances, good decision making, good positioning etc.
The “he doesn’t tell players to do X” is a terrible argument when coaching and improving players is very much part of his job.

It's almost always the players, Matty. They are cowards and/or mediocre. But the manager might as well not be there. He has no positive impact on their performances from what I can see. One season too far for Fireman Sean.
