2024/25 Sean Dyche

His sacking will become affordable at the end of December, especially if we do not have to pay anything to acquire his replacement. In fact, I’d say his sacking is affordable now tbh.

Paying off the remainder of his contract will be a similar cost to paying an injured player for six months.

We escaped relegation with relative ease last season (for us of late anyway). I think that's given some the belief we can push on to mid table and beyond and that "we have the players now" to do that. Well, we cant and we dont.

We have the quality of players we have to get us to maybe 14th at a push 13th (with a fair wind behind us). That's our level and that's ok for now. But if we start with the managerial merry-go-round again we can forget about surviving with a couple of weeks to spare.

There's some who believe we'll get an Emery in, or someone less proven but equally effective. They're barking mad. No manager of quality will touch a squad like this unless they get a massive pay check, and that's the route that's got us where we are right now: paying off the latest flavour of the month and their backroom staff.
Exactly this, but the manager is proving himself to be way way below that level, but from what you are saying Dyche is massively under achieving with this team which is what I`m trying to point out.

Unfortunately for us keeping Everton in a perpetual state of relegation fights only suits Dyche because "he is the man for that situation".

As another poster said previously any team that are threatened by relegation do not appoint a Dyche/Allardyce type anymore because it is just about winning games, why is that any different to being 10th or 20th?

If he was never appointed Everton manager he would never have managed in the PL ever again, there is no way with how shambolic we`ve been run that Everton were correct to appoint Dyche and every other PL club over the years were wrong because it just isn`t believable, Dyche is just the latest in a long list of truly disgusting appointments behind Benitez and Lampard.

That's not true. The football in open play has been better so far this first 5 games than for most other games he's managed in.

I said earlier that he looks like he's adopting a hybrid style of set piece football and open play football. That might take time to bed in balance wise. The attacking three look much more threatening from open play than they have for a few seasons.

We just need to get that defence sorted out with a settled CD unit at the heart of it.

People aren't seeing the wood for the trees here.

What

It’s almost like at times that Dyche purposely puts out this stuff about poor us, relegation fights etc because it fits his narrative of look at me, I’m a miracle worker keeping this club afloat, it lowers expectations and a lot of fans have bought it.
Bought it many times over, I can`t believe we got fans backing him over the actual club, there is no way I would support a manager doing damage like this fella.

Moreover these same people will back Dyche knowing full well he is taking us to the Championship, I just can`t fathom it, it is literally mental...

100% it is. It's self preservation.

Can't wait until he's punted.

Even for you this is some leap.

NURSE !!!!!!!

We've made over 90 million from players sales and our net spend is lowest in the league, but it's Dyche keeping us I'm the perpetual relegation fight 👍
Yep, his management ability is league 1 at the very best....

HIS Substitutions caused the bournemouth collapse, 3 points dropped
HIS substitutions cost us to drop 2 points yesterday

That shows a direct action by the manager that has a direct impact on why we dropped points. Both of them games were as good as won until he got involved.

If he gets us safe again Macca then there will be shouts on here from the usual suspects that Dyche deserves a contract extension!

Another stat that goes a little bit unnoticed is that every game where we've gone in front in a game and the opposition have equalised, we've only ever gone on to win 1 game under him (Palace away 3-2).

Edit - twice as I forgot Brentford away.
