I can't see any manager coming in until Christmas, with such a glaring hole up front, it's a tough challenge to get points and I think Unsy will be there until then when the new manager will be able to buy a coule of strikers.

Great article in the Sunday Times on Dyche and many quotes in there from him. Gave no indication of leaving but pointed out just signed a contract extension so what does that say?

What is it about the way Dyche has got Burnley playing that makes people think this is the type of football we want Everton to play?

It is well organised back to the walls defending with direct balls to powerful strikers.

Effective up to a certain point but nowhere near what a top club would aspire to.

Good point.

Moyes got us up to a point but when teams sat back we had no answer. To be a top team you need more about you.

This in spades.

Dyche will do fine. Were in trouble, and we need an experienced manager, who knows this league to help stabilize us for a couple of seasons. We are a shambles. We are way off from challenging the elite. So were not in a position to be too picky here. Were closer to the championship than champions league ffs.

He also knows the championship well so could end up being an astute appointment.

But we are not a top club and are actually in a relegation battle mate.
