Is this all from the Daily Mail and Sky Sports link? He was always going to be on the list. Can't see anything more concrete than that at the moment...

...it’s looking increasingly likely that Sean Dyche will be our new manager. Sky are running with the story that an approach will be made today.

I had nobody in mind, no particular preference but I wanted somebody with a record of building a successful side, not inheriting one. I wanted a manager with a proven record in the transfer market and one who’s teams create chances and are a genuine threat.

Whether Dyche meets that criteria is a moot point.

You can’t be in a relegation battle after 10 games mate. We may end up in one as we are playing dreadful, but at least give it until half the season.
The thing is mate yes you can. We can't score and we leak goals and we have no solution to the problem.

That's the mark of a relegation battle, whoever comes in won't be able to turn it around like magic without 10 men behind the ball and start from there. Which is what relegation battle teams do

Could he be our Redknapp? Do you remember how Spurs fans reacted when Arry took over after Ramos's failure?

Quite agree, but having 28 games to fix things gives you more chance than 14 right?

Obviously it does, but if you've been down at the bottom from the first few weeks of the season then your relegation battle has been ongoing all season. If you're mid table and then start getting dragged towards the drop zone later in the season then sure, your relegation battle starts then.

Isn’t one of walshs’ remits to be involved with the hiring of a new manager? He must think he can work with dyche cos he certainly couldn’t work with koeman!

The sky reports citing 'sky sources' will be 100% bogus mate, and entirely designed to generate clicks and betting on dyche on skybet, not a chance in hell that sky would have information like that prior to Hunter etc, and if they did they wouldn't run it when if true it will cost them money as saps will bet on dyche now, seriously watch how by the morning he will drop massively on odds as next manager.

It's basically the way sky manipulate the betting markets.

One of the most underwhelming appointments we could make.

Nothing will be the same.

Looks like we're trying to rewind back to 2002.
