Season Ticket Waiting List

Nah well before the stadium being even a thought, I know this because the year I dropped my season ticket at uni i couldn't get one the next year. And I remember being 2 years into my grad job when Mosh was spotted at BMD.
From memory they stopped selling half season tickets in Martinez second season, so I'm guessing that was when the list started.

Back at the start of the 2017/2018 season I bought my 2 sons a ST each, wanted them in the Park End near to mine and my wife's, but there wasn't any available there, so I had to get them in the Upper Bullens. Luckily a mate was also after a couple of STs as well so between us we managed to get 4 all together in the UB, which meant we could swap seats if needed so I could be sat next to my boys. There was literally no "Waiting List" as far as I can remember, and that was only 5 years ago. I just contacted the Box Office and bought them.

Managed to get my boys moved near to me in the Park End the following season as well, just by filling in the Seat Move Request form online.

It truly baffles me how there is now such a high demand / big wait list in such a short space of time. Wasn't that long ago that the club were desperately trying to flog half-season tickets as Xmas presents! It's not like we've been winning stuff or had anything much to cheer about these last 5 years either.

Whether we were good or bad under Moyes the average attendance always seemed to be around the 36k mark apart from maybe his second where did sell out the season tickets and our average went up 38k.

Think it'll be interesting to see how this transfers to the new stadium. An increase of 10000 in capacity is still a big jump and it's much easier to be on a waiting list than fork out for tickets.

People didn't want to pay money to be stuck behind a post, good football or not. The writing was on the wall that Goodison was going as soon as Moshiri took over so the uplift is purely to do with that imho.

We'll get similar at BM as everyone wants to see it, after a few years it will live or die on the basis of what the team do and/or competitive pricing. But whatever least people won't be paying £55 to have half a view of one of the goals.

2017.
I sent an email to ask about my status, got an automated reply - 2 weeks ago.
Are you waiting for a single ST? I think this makes a difference.
I was looking at stadium capacity and how many season tickets they have:

Everton 31,500 ST Capacity 39,400 80%
Newcastl 38,000 ST Capacity 52,257 73%
Man City 40,000 ST Capacity 53,400 75%
Arsenal 45,000 ST Capacity 60,704 75%
Man Utd 55,000 ST Capacity 74,000 74%
West H 52,000 ST Capacity 62,500 84%
liVARp 25,000 ST Capacity 61,276 41%
Chelsea 25,000 ST Capacity 40,173 63%
Aston V 33,000 ST Capacity 42,530 79%

So on average i would say 75% is a most common and average figure to use and that would stay well within PL rules which is the reason we dont increase season tickets numbers currently. Ignoring liVARpool, at 40% they obviously hate their loyal fans.
Also a drop from our current 80% at Goodison.

EFC BMD 39,000 ST Capacity 52,888 @75%

So i guess we will increase season tickets by around about 7,500 That would still leave plenty of capacity for hospitality, away allocation and general match day sales to members.
My other guess / prayer is that 7,500 clears all the tier 1 ST waitlist. 😀

If I ever get a reply and an offer to buy a ST I'll let you know...I'll give them another week, then resend
