Season Ticket Waitlist

Business? No not at all, they’ve got 30k people paying them to stay on that list, it’s great business. Bearing in mind we nearly went bust building this stadium and an extra 30k would have cost twice as much.
Well I disagree. You just have to do the math. Even another 12k seats, gets another 12k’s worth of season tickets. There’s a 30k waiting list for tickets. That amount of tickets a year generates about another 10m a season, ten years it’s 100m. However the club should be around for a very long time. Over 50 years that’s half a billion quid. It’s bad business sense to have 30k on a waiting list. And I doubt it would of cost half of the stadium cost to put that amount of seats in.

You spoke of business earlier.

You seem to be mixing up business and what's best for the fanbase.

Best for the fanbase :

100k Stadium, tickets average price 40 quid, no waiting list, people can buy tickets a day before the game.

Best for business :

52k Stadium, ticket average price 60 quid, massive waiting list, people need to buy a yearly membership just to have a chance every week of a ticket.

I never said anything about a 100k stadium. Our stadium should have been 60 minimum, 65k for sure. It’s not good business to have people wanting to spend their money when they can’t, you’d be awful in the apprentice you.

So nobody thinks having a brand new stadium with 30k on a waiting list is bad business?
No, because if you offered all them 30k a ST now probably about half would take one, and within 5 years the numbers will drop naturally when the novelty wears off. Having a large waiting list with fewer available tickets will guarantee it’s filled every year and even when the inevitable drop of numbers happens.
Since the stadium started being built the team has declined yet the WL has increased, it’s nothing to do with more fans suddenly wanting to watch the team.

its £55 now at Goodison be suprised if its not atleast £65 to £70 or plus for the seats in the new Main stand area, theyve gotta recoup as much as they can and will try, we are close to city centre from next season which means more day trippers/tourists/students sorry to say
£60 tomorrow - category A game so expect similar to be £70 at the new ground

Not to nonsense no. I appreciate your opinion though.
Its basic maths.

A bigger stadium would create more match day revenue, thats not even up for debate.

Currently, demand is at an all-time high, will that demand go up, with a successful Everton? Or go down, in time, as the price increases and interest wains?

We find out in the future.

But for whatever reason, justified or not, the Stadium will open at 52k.
