What about those who've had it sent but can't download to Google Pay because EFC didn't realise that a minor play in mobile phones like Samsung wouldn't accept it.

They refused to issue them this morning while knowing the situation. The earliest they can be printed is tomorrow morning once the digital platform is sorted.

You’ll have to get a paper ticket and your ticket that’s delayed in the post (not even sent) will arrive before the next match.

Is it right it's not got a barcode though? Just says like season ticket card and my name and seat number etc

This, and if it still doesn’t work then download wallet passes. It’s also a sensible idea to make sure the latest version of the OS is on the phone.

Also note its Google PAY not Google PLAY, get that first before the download
