Transfer Rumour Sergio Romero

No wonder Mrs Romero was angry when Utd said no thereby denying Mr.Romero reportedly 100k
a week to be the reserve keeper. Easy street. Money for old rope.

And now Utd have three top keepers and two of them will be unhappy.
They obviously thought he was out of the door as they didn't bother naming him in their CL Squad.
Effectively 4th choice keeper now and not allowed to escape to another Club.
Utd players are not happy with the way he's been treated apparently, as he is much liked there.

Not included in the CL squad surprise surprise, What a waste we could've paid his wages you daft clowns, Can't imagine us going back in for him in the summer either tbh.
That's because he is not and never was a long term solution for Pickford. We only ever wanted him on loan for a season, both to push Pickford and then replace him in the team if he didn't improve.

If we have to replace Pickford next year we'll have to lay out a lot of money. Hopefully Pickford's stock is still high enough to recoup a lot of it.

Reports I've seen show him as being on £50k pw.

Why go on about Romero? We have Olsen ready to step in for the rest of the season if need be.
Because statistically and based on reputation alone, Romero was and still is the better option. Everton knew that and that's why they went for him first, only for United to be scared that he'd strengthen us. Ok I haven't seen Olsen play yet but even so, I'm still confident Romero was the better option.
