Someone on the BBC website had sympathy for Anthony Taylor and Michael Oliver adding that they deserved their post-match medals as it was one of the least disciplined European finals in recent memory. Hang on, Taylor was the ref. If it was ill disciplined than that's because he (and Oliver) were weak. You're the ref FFS. Just book the first bloke who gets in your face/gives you some lip/feigns injury and then book the next one. They'll soon stop. Spineless, like all od=f the other Premier League refs!!

Spot on.

Mourinho knew he was dealing with weak officials and tried to exploit it.

Pliver and Taylor wont get near another Euro final of any description. They were a shambles.

Outrageous what happened to Taylor after that game in the car park and at the airport.

That said, I bet if he had that game over again he wouldn't have been such a spineless get allowing Roma to stop the game so much.

No continental ref would have stood for those shenanigans.

Two latin teams playing each other and they put a mild mannered Englishman in charge of it. UEFA to blame here above all.

The Premier league are letting the likes of klopp incite similar here.
They need to come down hard on mourinho, klopp etc before an official gets properly hurt

Roma were absolutely dreadful
Just like they were dreadful against Leverkusen
And dreadful against Feyenord I think it was

BUT it gets the job done usually so will get a free pass when winning a trophy.

Like watching a poor man's Atletico Madrid. The histrionics on the sidelines were embarrassing but that's all he has, it takes away from the grim tactics he sets his teams out with.

A dreadful final, with 2 dreadful teams, refereed by a dreadful referee

In an alternate universe I hear the game is STILL going

Football is out of control. Someone else has to be blamed when you lose, it’s never your fault. UEFA should come down hard on Seville & Roma, but you just know they won’t.
