I think i might have found this comment even odder than the orignal post - your theory is that if you find it creepy that strangers are taking photos of you on the bus you’ll likely die a spinster??? lol

Seems to me that Miss Goth would just be ruling out those potential mates that would ask a complete stranger for a photo whilst on public transport....which is probably a good idea long term if only to reduce the need to find a good divorce lawyer.

Yeah maybe I wasn't being very clear. My point attempted to be about the fine line between one person's creepiness and another's flirting. It's down to a lot of factors, in the end, such as mutual attraction, personal preferences, mood, people's experiences, whether somebody wants the attention or not.

If we all flirted in the same way life would be dull and there would be a sizeable portion who would never find it interesting or successful. Some in here just view the act as having been a black and white event in order to vent some spleen.

Im sure there would be a varying range of responses to that aswell between lawsuit, slap in the face, anger and laugh it off. The vast majority being the negative reaction I think we would agree.

To be fair to him, I don't have an issue with seeing an attractive person and telling your mates about it.

He screwed up in the telling (and doing) of the event when his attraction was more important than any disquiet it might cause the other person

I can't answer you point. It is akin to saying carrots are ok in a soup, but would the same soup be acceptable if we substituted pastry. You can't just say "instead if doing this, lets do that" and then ask if it's still acceptable, it's not a valid point of logic as it changes the argument fundamentally.

I can't fix your thinking, but just encourage you to read through the posts with more patience and care.
