The Wigan ones were just him pulling his best defender midfielder and attacker out the team I see it as. The squad needed additions and he delivered them. Granted they turned out to be bad mostly but at least he brought them in.

Which makes the whole thing funny because besic and possibly this lad could well prove to be great signings for the club. Makes me wonder if he had little to do with some players and all to do with others. Basic was his signing as we talked about him at the world cup but perhaps tarashaj and Galloway and the like was the scouts signing them?

Certainly anyone with half a brain doesn't leave delle Ali and sign Galloway up instead unless they weren't scouting anything but a position

I don't know mate. I really hate it when I see young Managers take on a big job and immediately go back to their former club and raid it. I see it as an insecurity blanket of sorts.

It's a tough one from the outside to comment on but something was going on with his relationships with players.
 

Think he busted his nose during pre-season but hopefully we see some of him soon to get a proper view of the kid.

Sadly though, with Martinez's record, it really wouldn't shock me if he was crap and Koeman has written him off already, same as Niasse and McGeady.
 

Just echoing above , yeah he looked promising pre season, think Koeman spoke well of him actually. Maybe it's why we haven't rushed to replace the very poor Kone.
 
He is probably injured, looked lively in pre season and I'm sure Koeman made some positive comments about him after one of the games.

I doubt he is on his way out, could be a useful player for us when he is fit.
 
He is also young. I think that factors into managements decision if they don't think he is ready. I see him having a good spell at some point this season though.
