Pretty sure he played in pre-season when Koeman was the manager, looked okay as well.

I thought so too mate. Can't believe the people righting him off before he's even played a competitive game for us.

The lad is 21. Had an excellent record with the Swiss youth teams and has 5 full caps (probably most, if not all, as substitute I would imagine). Was loaned to a team fighting for a UCL spot in the Bundesliga. (not exactly a poor standard). Was beginning to earn himself a starting role before getting a bad injury in the autumn and only now getting back to full fitness.

What I saw of him in pre season I was impressed. He offered something we didn't have in our squad at the time, and still don't. I was surprised when he went out on loan and assumed we had a replacement lined up.

Will have turned 22 by the summer as deserves another chance in my opinion. Probably not developed as much as we'd have hoped due to the injury.

Wouldn't say they are mad. But some seem very eager to write young players off if they haven't got 10 international goals by the age of 21.

Think it was £3m. Not earth shattering and I'm sure we'll get our money back at least if he doesn't make it here.
