Hello doom merchants
FIRST

3 points for Sheffield Utd

1-0 for them.

DCL miserable and isolated on his Brammal Lane return.

Sheffield will probably win this

This has got to be the most predictable Everton loss of all time. Playing a team who've not won a game all season.

Can see a draw here, can't see us beating these again away after winning on the last away of last season, it's not the Everton way.

My concern here is that we don’t usually get back to it after one loss; it’s a minimum 3-4 game run of poor form at a minimum.

Couple that with Sheff Utd not having won yet and we all know exactly what’s coming.

Sheffield Utd haven’t won all season...We all know what’s coming up

Our lionhearts will gift the Blades their first win...and the fume on here will be forest fire intensity. But I won’t really care...because the spineless sissies that represent us are not worth caring about

0-2 loss incoming

NSNO

You know what’s coming... if there is one thing that can ruin what is a joyful and happy time it’s an Everton fixture. Just make sure you’re all well lubricated prior to kick off.

We're not winning this tomorrow.

Merry Christmas :D

We are getting done here aren’t we, am tired of “Time for Everton”

70 quid for moi when Sheff win
Extra 40 squid if Brewster scores, each side get 4+ corners and 1+ bookings to boot

Of course it means we'll capitulate lad. A tip of the cap for your optimism though.

4-0 Sheff U

We are in big, big trouble unfortunately.

No james, digne, Allan or rich and a lot of unproven, crap or very tired players.

This will be a slog and I’d be surprised if it’s not a draw

It's got 1-1 written all over it.

I really feel like we will struggle today, I just don’t know where the goals are coming from, it’s ok saying DCL, but how about the supply?

I can see a draw at the best

Should beat them so probably won’t.

Happy to get a draw here.

Can't underestimate the level of injuries we have. Think it's too much to produce anything.

Oh we should absolutely beat them - and do so comfortably.

I just can't help but feel that, looking at the state of the side on Wednesday, we're absolutely shot.

There's obviously going to be changes but we know our fringe players regularly fail to deliver and the quality drops off massively.

They have injuries too but have had 5 days to recover and prepare. We've had one day recovery and a session yesterday, you'd imagine.

I just have a bad feeling about this. If we come out of the blocks quickly and get 2 or 3 in the first half, it should be enough, but will be a real grueller today.

Sheff Utd tend to start well in matches. Have watched them a fair bit this year because my housemate's a fan. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see them score early - it's how we respond that counts.

One million billion percent and a lifetime of supporting Everton tells me that we gift Sheffield United a late Christmas present here.

We aint winning this team is absolutely knackered.

Draw at best

Can understand why people think we could beat, they are going to win a game sooner or later and our injuries mean it could well be tonight because our fringe players aren’t very good.

Draw for me

Unless you're able 12 years old, I don't think "negged into oblivion" should really mean anything at all. I mean, even using that term is extremely cringeworthy in itself. I think many people can see what result is coming here.

Might get on the ale early to prepare at how bad the quality of service to DCL will be today, poor guys gunna be chasing his own flick ons for 90 minutes in a dreadful 1-1 draw

I'm obviously hoping I'm proved massively wrong.

I just feel this schedule has hit us hard.

But I've been saying for weeks to my mate that their first win is gonna come against us.

They're crap, but we looked out on our feet the other day and we've got our 3, possibly 4, best players out.

If I was looking at this game from a neutral betting perspective I would see a lot of positives to back Sheffield united

No James, Allan, Digne and potentially Richarlison.

Without them I genuinely believe we are a bottom 5/6 outfit, with set piece prowess perhaps setting us apart slightly.

I'm just going to check the score at the end of this I think. We're extremely lucky to be playing these while we're in this dismal state, but the game is probably going to be absolutely vile and given we've never won a game without Richarlison, I think we're in for a disappointing evening. I'm not going to put myself through either of the game or the cry-arsing on here afterwards.

Do we really expect to get anything from this game considering the players we have unavailable?

We are the one top half club that dont install fear in any team home or away. I fully expect the blades to dominate this game

4 of our 5 best players out injured... playing a team that hasn’t won all season, after 14 games.

I’ve seen this movie before

I have decided to record the game and afterwards make a decision on whether or not to watch it. Safer that way.

Might put £20 on Sheffield United -1 goal. I feel this is *the* game they turn it around*.

*get 3 points before losing the next 15 games

Sheff U win, no danger

Mate, we were what, seven or eight points ahead of Arsenal with five games left in the race for the Champions League?

We got cheated out of a Champions League play-off.

We manage to conspire to bottle many a moment.

People can be optimistic or pessimistic. Everyone still wants us to win. We've just been burnt by history.

Leicester and United end in draw, Chelsea currently down 0-2 to Arsenal. Perfect opportunity to widen the gap and go to #2 on the table. With that being said, Sheffield wins 2-0.

Hope we're all prepared for Ultimate Everton That tonight.

Everton that.

Great win, under the circumstances of players missing and an absolute disgrace of a referee. How gomes hasn't got a free kick or pen at the end is unreal ( where's VAR gone again?).

He was desperate for them to score, as were the by sport commentators, who were creaming in there kecks whenver sheff utd were anywhere close to our box - sorry everyone, hate us all the more.
