Players need a rest before City in 5 days time - would put out a defensive side with what we've got and try nick a scrappy win.

343 and whilst a poor team the players simply need a rest nothing else we can do.

Injuries to key players and fatigue have well and truly hit us and Brands not replacing Kean/Walcott is coming home to roost.
 
This saturday Everton could have 29 points from 15 games and go 2nd [If Leicester v man utd is a draw] or be 3rd if a winner that game

This compares to other starts similar

Everton were 5th with 28 points from 15 games - 2 points off 2nd and 7 points off top in 2013/2014 - Everton finished 5th with 72 points from 38 games
Everton were 3rd with 30 points from 15 games - 1 point off 2nd and 6 points off top in 2004/2005 - Everton finished 4th with 61 points from 38 games
Everton were 3rd with 29 points from 15 games - 2 points off 2nd & 3 points off top in 2002/2003 - Everton finished 7th with 59 points from 38 games
 
Our best eleven has just played a tough game and had a demoralising defeat.

Many of the players, dcl, iwobi were technically poor in the man utd game and this is because already they are tired and because of this not able to play at their best level.

We dont have any squad depth, so any change for a player like dcl, or doucoure for example would severely weaken the team to a point of making sheff utd more likely to win.

Our best hope is if James is back. I would then look to a play a team based on how fit certain players are and how likely their fitness will impact their effectiveness in the match. This is also considering Richarliosn not being fit for the game.

Do you get more points for beating City then? Rotate a few but definitely not to this extent

We have enough key players out without hamstrings for the likes of DCL, Doucoure etc going pop!

Its dangerous having the same players play too many games one after another.

You either sacrifice this game or the City one as we aint running around pressing and creating chances in both 2 days after each other when they were absolutely dead on their feet tonight.
