Sheffield Wednesday winding up order

They were better than us in the '90s based on league positions.

If we had gone down at the end of '98 we might have never recovered. It killed Forest and Wednseday getting relegated round about that time.

I don't know why, but i really don't like Sheffield Wednesday, Still this is sad and i hope they get out of it

If I had to choose I'd be a blade. Been to the Lane with my Sheffield buddy many times. Superb atmosphere and no mistake.

But it's BS that a club as big as Wednesday can't even pay the tax man.

Exactly bud. I have every sympathy for them and hope they avoid the order.

This thread got me thinking about Sheff Wed playing Everton in 97/98 for some unknown reason. I swear this was the worst game of football I can remember. I was convinced we were down after this! Luckily not. Feel bad for Wednesday, hopefully they can bounce back.

Graham Allen at rightback....qué?

Don't like Wednesday. Have been there once with Everton. Was spit in the face, attacked and verbally abused by 3 thugs, just because I was wearing an Everton rain jacket. Threw a plastic Coca Cola bottle at one of them after it and succeeded in hitting him right in the neck. Don't think I'd be posting on here today, if he had caught me. Luckily the police stepped in and he was arrested. Nice to see the travelling Evertonians coming over to my aid though.(y)

Still don't want so many years of history end up like this.

hope that Bertie Bassett was the 1st to be given the boot, remember being jammed in behind the goal and he was lobbing Liquorice allsorts through the fencing like a baseball pitcher, a few lids went home with black eyes I reckon, from those big round coconut ones.
