Should we have listened to Davek?

I think it's easy to forget how toxic it became in the last few months and the performances where shocking, I think it's obvious now that the players are a major problem but their poor attitude mixed with martinez tactics was a recipe for disaster, I'm glad martinez was 1st out the door, Obviously the summer was a joke, we seriously needed quality in and but more importantly we need to get the rest of the dead wood out

Which Davek though, the one who says the managers great but the players are rubbish? Or the one who says the managers useless but the players are decent. ?
I mean I'm getting confused are they actually the same person or what?

That semi final was absolutely horrid. like West Ham 2016-17. it's just apathy this year.

I feel as though maybe we jumped on Martinez out bandwagon and maybe if we had listened to Davek and showed him more respect we would be in a better position than we are now. Looking back he said things such as the grass wouldn't be greener and suggested players efforts were the problem and not necessarily the manager.

Maybe we have taken a few backward steps since Koeman has joined and lost a lot of money in the process.

I don't understand this post what so ever, Martinez inherited a much better squad than Koeman has as Moyes left a competitive team challenging for Europe whilst Martinez after one good season destroyed that and the culture that Moyes built in his proceeding two.

We went from a top 6 side to a team languishing in the bottom half of the table in 2 years now that's a decline that would come from underinvestment ( didn't stop Moyes ) or gross incompetence. Throw in the fact that the man never ever bothered with the defensive side of the game at all and was completely delusional regarding what we were witnessing on the pitch then you move away from incompetence to negligence.

Then look at the signings

Kone
McCarthy
Robles
Cleverley
Besic - although Jury is still out
Tarashaj
Henen

and the poster boy of crap signings Naisse

Sorry mate DaveK was wrong
