I actually didn’t get anything, which I’m completely fine with. All of the adults in our families said we were only buying stuff for the kids this year. Some of us could afford to buy for everyone but others couldn’t and it’s not meant to be a competition. We’ll just have a boss dinner and take joy from the kids having a ball.

We said this too and I was the only one to stick to it so still ended up looked an arl tight arse.

Once again we had out yearly tradition of me Ma buying far too much in the way of snacks & nibbles, complaining that "there's no room in the fridge" when I tried to get my beers in there, then shaming anyone trying to eat said nibbles "are you eating again you fat get" then kicking off today that "there's still loads left in the fridge, why hasn't anyone eaten all this food it cost me a fortune"

Anyway, I've just gotten home to find she's loaded half of it into one of my bags, so my fridge is nearly full now
