View attachment 236015This pretty baby is called Isabel my classical concert guitar … my favourite combination of German spruce and Indian rosewood ..thus is Isabel finished some time ago but I can’t part with her … I added a picture of the inner construction … 5 fan traditional Granada Style

Is there any chance you could post some of the music you’ve played on this beautiful guitar ?

( I you have any recordings )

;)

I still have a Yamaha APX-7 from the 90s, bought it from a Aussie muso called Russell Morris when I first started working over here. Don't play it much these days but it never let me down and I always loved the action on it.
The APX was really good to play live; as you mention, the action is great, the neck is comfortable and it held its tuning really well. It never let me down during the 12 years I used it live, even surviving in the hands of Neanderthal airport baggage handlers!

Great value for money.

Posted these in 'the other thread' so I thought I should post them here as well. Also posting up a couple of earlier photos of Gibsons I had.

That red Marshall stack!!! Wow

That red Marshall stack!!! Wow
Moved it on eventually, when you had to cart your own gear around. Couldn't get it into the boot of the Ford Escort!

With the final band I was in, I gigged with a Mesa Boogie F50 for several years.03a.jpg

The final amp I gigged with was an Albion Gulfstream15 20w. Absolutely blew the Mesa away! Mine is the maroon one. The other guitarist had the same amp in white.

I bet that plexi stack moved some air!!! How are your ears these days?

My son has been talking about getting guitar lessons & I have urged him to do so, & I'll pay for them.

Wish I had done so when I was younger.

In person lessons are always best by one of my sons has used the Fender App and it has been useful for him. Wasn't his first music experience, however, so he has a lot of background but he's enjoyed the lessons.
