There had been no speculation at all that Baines wasn't fit, and logic would have dictated that Baines, having been out for a month, would have needed the game time to bring his match fitness levels up again. It's precisely because he was rusty that he would have played against QPR, but for injury. You don't bring a player back after a month out for one game, then rest him, if you can help it.

He knows what he's talking about and his been right numerous times over situations that no one else has called or speculated.

no one is disputing this but why no just put it in the match thread, and in realation to this thread it tells us nothing.

To be fair he did just say it will be a 'good' week. We have already hyped it up to be a 'great' week. We are setting ourselves up for a bit of deflation here whatever the news

This can only mean that we're going to be extremely pleased with the weeks dealings imo

Jela moving on must mean there's at least one direct replacement lined up & this suggests that it might be someone of real calibre

With Jelavic going we're going to need two attacking players, as we already needed one. Ideally I'd like us to see a striker, a winger/attacking mid and a central midfielder to come in. With Jelavic's fee and wages off the books, and Heitinga's hopefully to follow, I'm hoping to get at least one pretty decent player.
