If this week doesn't see improved contracts for Baines, Barkley and Coleman and perm signings of Lukaku, Deulofeu and Barry plus some boss new signings, I'll fume.

Baines new contract is still a priority for me. Oviedo showed us we have good depth, but Baines is still a class act. I thought he was standard yesterday, nothing compared to what he can be and he still oozed class. He's so composed on the ball, has such a top class delivery and just knows exactly what he's doing. He's such an asset for us. And he has the right attitude too. The man is everything an Everton player should be and we're lucky to have found such a gem. He's also so naturally fit he will be able to play into his mid-30s easy.

Agreed. I surmise that a prospective Lukaku bid is a monetary bridge too far, even with the extra funds as per the new TV deal

Never Lukaku in a million years. Even if we get CL he'll still want to go back (despite what he said), there's no way he'd sign for us at this moment. It's obviously Baines, the United deal is dead in the water it looks like

Your language sounds less than certain here mate, sounds a bit like what was looking certain yesterday may not be so today? Not doubting your credentials but I suppose even a genuine ITK has to take the risk that things can go wrong and cost their reputation. Hope I am reading this wrong.

On the speculation logical deducement says that Roberto wouldn't blow our whole budget on Lukaku because we would still be short in squad terms. I guessing Baines.
