Because no one knows who he's talking about, the thinking is it's probably Baines or Barkley new contracts. But if you squint your eyes, down a whisky and play MOTD backwards, it's possible to interpret it as Lukaku signing for us permanently.

Would absolutely love that.

Obviously you'd have to assume it's a contract for Baines. In which case I'd be happy but would think this entire thing was a bit unnecessary.

Now we know the "good news" is something to do with a player (and not a stadium or take over) you have to assume the announcement won't happen till the team is back from Tenerife. Which means probably another week of this speculation.
