It will never happen I'm sure but if Rooney got us competitively playing champions league football then I think we could afford it. United could afford van per sie because it means they won the league.

But it would be madness for Rooney to come home when all he needs is a champs league team to tell him he's pretty and the sun shines out of his arse to join them.
 
It's all gone quiet on the Johnny H front, surely he has to go this window, to improve his World Cup chances more than anything
 

There all going mad on the Whufc forum saying we've stealed there player haha also saying traore has flew his family in for the west brom game.
 
If we really have managed to bag this Traore fella then we are looking in pretty good shape for the rest of the season. He has the physique to scare the bejesus out of PL defences!

Can't say that I'm happy about having our whole strike force made up of loanees, but I'm sure Roberto will set about fixing that in the summer.

Always had a soft spot for Whufc and usually I wouldn't want them to go down, and they don't deserve that large headed f***er in charge, hope they sack him, cant stand the man. You all must remember the comment he made about Cahill before a Blackburn game, about him getting away with murder when going for headers. Got **** all off the ref that night. As a manager hate him with a passion.

I personally beg to differ. I may be over-aggregating the ability of marketing, but surely the publicity, shirt sales, worldwide presence among other things would surely recoup a percentage of his fee over time. That, plus if he spearheaded us into the champions league for the next few years, it would be more than worth the money.

He will mate, we'll be able to buy better strikers for a better price in the Summer, i can understand why Roberto may be put off buying a striker this window.
