We have, unless we sell Barkley/Baines/Coleman, come out of the window stronger....Traore and McGeady added and Jelavic sold. Injuries are part and parcel - they happen all year round when you can't strengthen. Should Johnny go and not be replaced then we have come out weaker.

I think that's a distortion of reality. The truth is we're not buying anyone else. If Heitinga leaves, we need to replace him. It's not as if we're going to clear Heitinga from the books and sign a striker.
