I'm sure as a friend of the show they'll send James Earl Jones off very kindly.
 
The first ten series or so are on a different level: how they balance it being fun and relatable to children, with the risqué and downright hilarious humour amazes me.
When they realised what they had, which was a mirror to society and to comment on consumerism and the american dream, they wrote seasons of acerbic humorous commentary that still lives and breathes it's relevance today. Yes it's gone wildly off the rails, but the fury and the feeling is a well that eventually runs dry. Few shows have reached across generations and entertained as well and for as long as 'The Simpsons'.
