Single malts, blends and any other form of liquid gold

My favourite is an Islay variety called Bunnahabhain, but I know a few on here favour the peaty ones. I would say Caol Isla is my favourite peated one.

the only whiskey i`ve ever had that i thought was any good was single barrel JD. unbelievable stuff.

Laphroig cask strength is the one.

Bunnahabhain is fantastic stuff, quite different to the other Islays.

Ardbeg and Lagavulin are both excellent, too, but overpriced.

Quite like Aberlour, a highland, too, but there are loads I still need to try. Always end up going for Islays though. Can't beat the 'peat reek'.

My old man is a member of a malt whisky society and gets a selcted bottle every month from little breweries.

Balvenie Double Wood 12 y/o is my go to whisky, always have a bottle in the house. Like the Lagavulin 16 y/o which i'm half way through at the mo.

For Single Malts its deffo Laophraig quarter cask...mmmmm

However - my tasteybuds have a tendancy to wander onto the heavenly delights of Bas Armagnac...Mon Dieu mes Amis!
I'm heading down to Armagnac country late August, and my roofbox will be a little heavier on the return journey.
