I'll always remember him as the coward that lost his passion for the game, stayed in the MLS instead of challenging himself with Everton, getting himself dropped from this last World Cup with arrogance, and retiring at 32.

I think Landycakes knew what he was doing. He'll be remembered forever as the godfather of professional American soccer.

As much as I would've liked to see him return to Everton, that's a much bigger legacy than he would have ever had here.

On a personal level, would have been great to see him compete to remain with Everton...

Probably diminished the perception of him overall to return to MLS, but without a doubt helped grow the perceptions of MLS. League still has a long way to go, but he helped get us a couple steps closer to the end goal.
