Maybe a big point to make to the fans that booed him when coming on against Watford. I always thought he wasn't one of the lads but seeing those goal celebrations I think he is part of the set up now. What a confidence boost for him and hopefully we will see more.

That is quite a stat. Apart from the obvious player wonder if we will have any other stinkers come sniffing round for the likes of Barkley, Galloway?

Saw the first half before taking my nephew to see the Newport County game (never matches up to Goodison like.) I'm assuming the second half was a bit more defensive with a good flourish at the end. From what I saw, that was easily the best performance we've had since Arsenal home the other year.

Said the other week we always seem to play opposite to whatever 'feel' there is around the club. It felt like that siege mentality returned today. Full on credit to Martinez and the team for that. Important we keep that going now with some additions to the squad and a gnarly Goodison at home to City next week.

I was quite near the home supporters and got stuck into them a bit after the third goal. Bit naughty I know, but I had to sit there while they mocked me the past two seasons so it was nice to get some revenge

Southampton fans like dishing it out, but they sure can't take it. To be fair looking them dead in the eyes, pointing to my shirt and yelling "these colours don't run" as they were storming out probably didn't help calm the situation down, but hey ho.

But yeah, that was a great weekend. Here's hoping we've turned the corner now
