Gray still a notable absentee from the training pics, but given how well the forward players worked together last Saturday it may have been a struggle to fit him in anyway.

His side throws some big punches at times, but his Soton have conceded 9 goals twice. Weird manager, but last time out vs Man Utd I thought they were decent so we will have hard work on Saturday
I like the way he gets a game from players who arnt top class, if we hadnt of been lucky on Frank I'd actually of taken him.

I think this will be Franks hardest game so far, but if we play as we did last week I think we can at least get a draw.
totally agree , this game will again show us if our lads are average players which they only perform a first few games after a new manager is appointed as they did with Rafael, Carlo and Silva or they gonna step up and show some character, skills and at least take a point , not 100% confident

Important one for breathing room given our next two after are City and then away to Spurs. Another 3 points and we can feel some calm. A loss and we’re back in the frying pan. I’d be tempted to go with the same 11 again. See if they can match the energy they had against Leeds.

I cannot see any reason why the same commitment won't be there on Saturday as the team have had a full weeks recovery from the Leeds game.
The game against the Skunks should not be used as a template for gloom and doom. To lose the only (let that fact sink in for a while) left back in our squad so close to the kick off time is difficult to contend with. Andros Townsend became the sacrificial lamb and was required to fill in as it were. That is the equivalent of asking a plumber to do a dentists job. One player down, and one player completely out of position. A very difficult situation exacerbated by arguably the two stand out players in their positions being withdrawn injured within 30 minutes. A difficult task now becomes almost impossible. For any team.
Can't ignore that performance or result, but let's put thing into perspective and not be overly negative. I feel we can be plenty confident from the positives over the past couple of weeks and get the minimum of a draw at the weekend.

Hope your right. It’ll be a little different as it’s an away match, but I do feel as though we can expect at least a similar template to what we saw against Leeds in terms of how we approach the game.

what SHOULD be a template for gloom and doom is our 21st century history. The reasons why the same commitment won't be there are more available and believable than the opposite. We have been given every
possible reason to be skeptical this weekend. But, like a dummy, I CAN'T WAIT! Because I somehow know Iwobi will play and be brilliant, attacking football will be played AWAY from home and the sliding tackles will abound.
I Will be back post match enraged I'm sure

A draw would be a pretty good point, to be fair
