Our most heavily criticised players were usually heaped with praise last season. Gueye, for example, was claimed by many to be the buy of the season. Good footballers don't suddenly become bad footballers and surely things won't stay the same.

Maybe they look at the usually stupid team selection week after week and subconsciously go into the game expecting
the worse.

I'm not at all confident about today, which is sad, really, because this is a match where we should expect to get a result.

I'd play Rooney where Morgan is and basically just say to him, sit in the middle and dictate play because Morgan offers us sweet fa. He woukd need to have 15 top performances on the spin before he gets off without critisicm.

No Davies on the bench.
Agree. But Davies doesn't deserve to be in the squad with his current form. Gives the ball away too many times and can't even tackle.

I predict a complete no show from Morgan, to the point he’s subbed. Zero goal threat from DCL, and Mirallas to be taken off around the hour mark, despite him looking our only goal threat.

I'd have Davies over Morgan and Gueye for the simple reason he doesn't go hiding, asks for the ball and still tries to drive forward with it.

His form has been patchy but compared to the 2 I've mentioned he's looked like bloody Pirlo

Can’t really argue with that team, continuity in the back 4, 2wingers and no one out of position. DCL has offered more than Sandro thus far as well so had to go for him given Oumar “destroyer of worlds” Niasse is suspended.

Think Schneiderlin will have a cracking game today mate myself, based on nothing he's shown this season but just because he shows up against saints in the past...

It's the Koeman effect mate.
