NASA have also called a press conference for Monday, probably concerning the discovery of live bacteria on Mars.
The official press release is here:
The panel mentioneded in the press release is intriguing, HiRISE is an orbiting telescope with resolution of about 1 foot, suggesting it isn't the (direct) observation of live bacteria.
Ojha is a PhD student investigating features on Mars which may require the flow of liquid water to form according to his website.
Wilhelm is a biochemist doing her PhD in biomarkers in soil similar to that of Mars and a civil servant at NASA working as a collaborator for the sample analysis at Mars instruments.
