We need to go out all guns blazing and get a goal - that would give sporting a mountain to climb - we must not sit back on what we have - if sporting play twice as good as they did last tuesday they will still be very beatable so COYBB !!!!!!

I would be absolutely gutted if we went out. We're without doubt superior to this lot, and frankly would fancy ourselves in the next round as well whoever we get.

I couldn't care how we get through, just as long as we do. I'm still slightly in shock from how this tie is still alive. We should have been absolutely cruising though, at 2-0 I'd have given Sporting absolutely no chance.

We go there however with our trademark resilience in fine fettle, so I'm going to for a 1-1 draw. Can't see us winning but equally if we play as well as we have been doing, I sure as hell can't see them doing so.

We need to defend the edge of the box better, and that means putting Neville back into midfield.

They got into our box far too easily last time, and that just isn't good enough.

We have goals a plenty in the team, so not worried that we won't score, but it would be nice not to go behind early in the game.

My prediction 1-1 :)

i dont know but for me it felt like we were never settled against sporting, even at 2-0...

so wasn't shocked they scored.

dunno sometimes i read the game very differently to some here..

regardless i'm sure were going to win the tie :)

\O/

I have confidance that we will win, espacially after this weekend!(y)

My biggest worry is who is gonna play center back...

Yobo/Senderos sounds like our best shot... But is Senderos Ok to play?
Otherwise, there is not too much other options...

Posted via Mobile Device Yobo must prove that he's a good enough, reliable CB which I know he is. After 8 years at the club he must use the experience. Gotta go with a positive mentality. Billy on the left, Don on the right, Pienaar supporting Saha and that's an exciting attack pour moi.

I just looked up the betting odd on SkyBet for the match and Everton are 2/1 for the away win, a draw is 9/4, and Sporting Lisbon win is 11/8. I'd say a draw is very real and even a win with the current form of the club.

It's just too bad I live in the USA and can't bet on these things like in the UK (or at least not as easily).

2-1 Everton methinks, but they'll do it the hard way, Sporting go 1-0 up with 10 mins to go, but up pops Cahi...ahh, erm...Rodwell, and we get a second to seal the deal.

Mine too (y)

There is this trend that I spotted a while back, one strong game one weaker game. MC game weak, Chelsea, strong, Sporting, weaker, but pulled it out, but did not look great, MU great, the best game I have seen Everton play, and I predicted a big game, now, I hope for this trend to be broken, but predict a difficult game. A tie or 2-1 Everton. I could not go back before MC because I am too lazy and maybe wrong. I hope that I am wrong.
