Spuds V ....Young Boys?!?

For now I can say that it's just typical spurs. Overated,Over confident. They are rubbish. I heard Michael dawson earlier claimng that he's looking forward to marking Messi. Wake up son, your team is nowhere near that good to be facing Barca

Everton's goose was cooked in 2005 when Liverpool had Uefa tear up their own rule book to accomodate them. It could have been a Sunday League ale house team from Europe who knocked Everton out in the QR never mind a decent outfit like Villareal. They were never allowing 5 English teams in that competition.

Exactly this.

Liverpool should have never been in the competition to begin with but UEFA changed the rules in a blatant show of favoritism under the guise of "Oh well they won it so they SHOULD be able to defend." Never mind that in the decades of the competition prior, that rule never existed.

Oh, and after seeing the highlights, Young Boys have no one to blame but themselves after missing several chances.

Gutted. I thought they were gonna get absolutely tanked for a bit there. They've been so cocky about being in Europe. One Spud I know referred to them as "European Giants" 'cos of the 3 trophies they won back in the day, even though they've done nothing in Europe in his lifetime.

I can see them going through now too. I heard on the radio they'll get £20m just for beating Young Boys. It's a bloody gravy train, innit. No wonder most European leagues are monopolised by 2 or 3 teams. <sadface>

that first 30 minutes, they made the Spurs back line look like it was standing in cement as they went by them with those low to the pitch passes. I expected the Spurs to get back in it though.

It was amusing to watch the Spurs fans all depressed and then like I didn't see it coming, they showed them jumping all against the fence talking trash when they got back in it.

Glad they are still in it, need them in it distracted this year. They made the CL last term because they had no Europe and they backed off the cups (Villa made it to the carling, it was Spurs the year before)
