Sigurdsson 0 Martina 0 Bolassie 0 and Guye 0. Thats a lot of players not good enough. We dont have the technic to play ball in midfield. We dont have the technic in central defense to open the game. Only long hopefull balls.

The lack of quality on the ball is our traddmark, esp in the middle of the pitch. One Rooney is not enough. You need your CM to have that bit og guile to carry the ball forward instead of just attempting crunching tackles. Then there is the LB area which is appalling. Still cannot believe how a DoF does not get fired for letting a team start a season with no backup LB, no striker.

Feel a bit for Sandro cos his quality on the ball would have helped us. I'd bring on Lookman, take Gana/Macca off and put Rooney in the middle.

There's lots of people to blame for Martina getting caught out in no man's land there. Sigurdsson for not being anywhere near Aurier. Holgate and Jagielka for not taking Son as he moved into the box off of the wing. Pickford for not telling Martina to hold the line and watch the space where Aurier was.

Martina should have passed Son onto a CB. Obviously Jagielka was in a different county so that didn't help.

Sigurdsson should have been tracking Aurier.

Martina should have gone flying out to Aurier to stop the ball and left Son for the CBs.

Since he stayed he should have blocked the shot / cross, he turned his back!! It was cms from his right foot!
