The lack of quality on the ball is our traddmark, esp in the middle of the pitch. One Rooney is not enough. You need your CM to have that bit og guile to carry the ball forward instead of just attempting crunching tackles. Then there is the LB area which is appalling. Still cannot believe how a DoF does not get fired for letting a team start a season with no backup LB, no striker.

Feel a bit for Sandro cos his quality on the ball would have helped us. I'd bring on Lookman, take Gana/Macca off and put Rooney in the middle.

How is it Sigurdsson's fault for not being near Aurier? Shouldn't that be the left back's job?

That man is the worst footballer we've ever, ever had. From a technical, physical and mental point of view.

It's a team game and he's playing on the left. If the full back is occupied with the opposition winger then I expect Sigurdsson to be occupying the space around their full back.

Martina shouldn't have followed Son's run into the box, Holgate or Jags should have taken that man and allowed him to go back wide to mark Aurier. He's not a left back, we all know that, so I expect Jagielka to be directing him and Pickford as well.

He's a very limited footballer but that wasn't a result of any of physical or technical deficiencies but a failure in the team holding a solid defensive shape allowing Aurier to occupy that space on the right and that's a team failure as well as Martina's.

Just not good enough. Tosun looks reasonable but there are too many average/poor players out there. Martina is seriously poor and Bolasie offers very little. He can't use the unfit excuse, he's just bang average and needs binning. Gueye is also very poor, might as well be Schneiderlin in there. Sigurdsson is offering nothing. All round, I expect Spurs to go on and win this comfortably.

You can 100% use the unfit excuse for Bolasie. Gueye is twice the player of Schneiderlin.

Bolasie is lucky to be playing at all after the injury he had but he's lost a yard easy and I don't think it's going to come back.
