If the Y word being sung by Spurs fans gets banned I will jack it all in.
What can they do if the fans continue with the "Y Army" chant? Your fans reclaimed the word and turned in from being an insult, (never got that anyrate me), into a rallying cry, as far as I know.
I dont have the understanding of London football rivalries that you do, but I always assumed that most other London fans of your main rival hate Spurs cos they are Spurs. Not cos they have ancient roots in the Jewish community. I may well be wrong mind.
Dont get it.
For me it similar to the redskins in Nfl, it doesn't make you a racist to have used the term in relation to your team or even to have affection for it. It is time however to grow up a bit and move on from it in the realisation that you are sanitising racist language, intentionally or otherwise
It's racist. How do I know? Because if I or anyone else used that word in relation to any Jew, I / they would be charged with a hate crime. And rightly so.Yid is the Hebrew word for mate/friend. How is that racist if we call each other it?

London football has become sanitized crap for the middle classes.
FFS, that means nothing. Most Spurs fans aren't Jewish and they use it too. What's their excuse?Nope. Jews use it to each other. I would know.

And there we have it. If in a corner, resort to an insult. Why are you asking me? You are the expert apparently.
