Noddy question here but we’ve exercised our option to curtail the cazoo deal which was apparently worth £9.6m per year for a deal which is worth “over £10 mill” which in Everton speak will mean £10.0000001m.

Is it worth it for the bad PR? I could understand it if it was say £15-20m but it doesn’t seem worth the hassle of canning cazoo

I imagine all the snowflakes aboard the good ship High Morals want the club to ban all alcohol inside the ground. We can't be seen to promote alcoholism or maybe we should ban crisps and sweets, as well as that, as well as that surely promotes obesity.
Of course the above is stupid but they are just as relevant as gambling yet people don't have a problem, even boasting that you got to get drunk to watch us. Have the fans with a gambling addiction been ok for the last 2 years and now we have suddenly triggered them? Gambling is not a problem if done responsibly, weak willed people are the problem, having a shirt sponsor won't convert these people either way, to suggest different is ridiculous

You don't actually know what an addiction is do you? Or how triggers can literally affect brain function to wildly different degrees in different people.

The gambling industry has spent a fortune on researching scientifically proven methods of triggering the addictive response that they know are part of the biological make-up of a small percentage of their customer base and also normalising the attitude that gambling is an intrinsic part of watching sport - that's true irresponsibility.
