I like his music, but he's a tremendous thief/plagiarist, that's my main beef. He has some great stuff, but so many of his themes are ripped off from classical pieces that it's hard to ignore... but maybe this should go in another thread.

As I don't know jack about classical music and only really listen to film music of that genre Williams is the absolute tits.

Fair enough, I guess Star Wars the movie steals plot themes in a similar way. He puts it together in a format I readily enjoy though.
 

Star Wars is Cinema to me, i a total cinema experience was watching Return Of the Jedi in the cinema with me dad when i was bout 5? i can't wait for this

any idea what certificate this will be?
 

I know Carrie Fisher will not still be able to pull it off, but if Daisy Ridley's character is Han & Leia's daughter, I hope mum passes down her clothes to her kid...............

Granted, it's hard to tell the difference between appropriately quoting/lifting/sampling/referencing prior work, but in any case the person who passes it off as wholly new or original is being dishonest at least. Not to mention how often his work is derivative of his own previous work.

Some of the comparisons are probably overstated, but when you've stolen a little then people become curious to see exactly how much may have been stolen.
