What is a phoenix club? Is that like what Glasgow Rangers did?

I would prefer the Wimbledon route, have the fans start a new Everton at the bottom of the football pyramid and work our way back up.

I mean, the thing is….if you were locked in a martiage or long term relationship with a woman (or man) who brought so much misery into your life…..who constantly drained your spirits and cast a constant dark cloud over every aspect of your life you would just call it quits and walk away.

You can’t do that with a football team though.

The die is cast the day you are born.

That’s why liquidation would be a blessed relief IMO.
