steak and kidney puddings

For me, they smell like piss. Like a bad urinal that doesn't get cleaned.

I will not eat them because of this.

However I love Steak & Ale Pies. FRAY BENTOS

Ahh yes, the iconic Steak & Kidney Pie/Pudding. I used to love these things until I realized what was in them.

The kidney, the organ responsible for filtering all the crap out of the blood. Yum. I pointed this out to my wifes sister, and I got the reaction "Well......they still taste good" Only to find out later I had managed to put her off them completely.

I do have to hand it to 'them', ignorance IS bliss in this matter.

They're wee factories. Very useful but not very tasty!

But Dylan, all of the "offally" bits taste best, plus many of the cheaper cuts - pigs ear, hoof and tail, ox tail and ox cheeks, chicken livers, and ducks tongues mmmmmmmmmm

the have the tiniest piece of kidney, i dont like kidney but i can put up with that little bit, you can get just steak, or steak & mushroom.

we dont mash peas, thats not what mushy peas are. they also arent in a steak pudding, and the rest isnt mashed either.


and what exactly are grits ?
