Scholes was a far better player than Gerrard for club and country, Also Scholes finished his career on a high.

Scholes was as close as it gets to being better, but Gerrard had more to his game, his free kick ability takes him above Scholes for me, and the fact Scholes played in sides a lot better than Gerrard did, Gerrard carried the sh'te all the time he was there.Scholes was a far better player than Gerrard for club and country, Also Scholes finished his career on a high.
Never said he wasn't mate, but he's hardly been here for decades has heYou watch him play this season. Absolute beast of a player
He's hardly going to say "He was good like, but I was better, anyway good luck in LA mert"Scholes said today on BT he was the best he had seen in the Prem, and he was admitting Gerrard was a more complete player than he was but without saying it, being a Manc, he'd never say that but you knew what he was saying.
We ain't going to agree on this mate, but if I could pick one midfielder to play for us in his prime, I'd pick Gerrard over Viera, Keane, Scholes all day long.He was never 'world class', and he only ever looked at his best played behind Torres in a free role. Give him any responsibility deeper and he went to [Poor language removed].
Dont remember the Love fest for Lampard when he was looking like going to america.
Far classier man too

Just back off a recent holiday. Soon as you open your mouth, your asked 'red or blue?' When you reply blue there is instant respect.....usually followed by thank god you don't support the other lot. This isn't just united fans. I'm sure others like me have met supporters from other clubs like me. Chelsea, Leeds, Newcastle, Sunderland, arsenal, Boro, Chelsea the list goes on. No-one likes them. The only ones that do are the media and that is because of the total bias of the pundits towards ex RS players. It really annoys me to see the coverage Gerrard has got this week, you only have to compare this with Ryan giggs. Another 1 man club, who won everything in the game and yet got nowhere near the hype and attention Gerrard did.
But could do better.Smashing a far classier bit of beak too.
Scholes is as close as it gets for the title of being the best complete midfileder, but he was never a dead ball taker, and Gerrard had that in spades, which is why I am arguing why Gerrard has been the best complete midfielder of the last 20 years.Scholes was a tremendous player. He used to make the odd off tackle but to try and say Gerrard was more complete is doing Scholes an injustice.
It was remarkable how United struggled when he retired the first time.
your insane, all three are vastly superior to him, I 'd take gerrard over lampard like, but those are the top three midfielders who have played in the prem, if gerrard was as good as them liverpool would have walked the league with him alongside alonso, mascherano and torres upfrontName names lad, I ain't going to let my hate cloud my judgement.
Keane, Scholes, Viera, are the ones I think of in Slippy G's era and I'd have him over those 3 all day long, he could do everything.
It hurts a bit, but I'm just telling it how I see it, and he did it in Redsh'te sides that were poor compared to the likes of Arse, Manure and Chelski.
He single handily won them a Champs league, and a few other trophies besides.
