Steven Naismith though.

Absolutely completely different player! It's pretty unbelievable the change really.

I honestly thought he was one of the worst players to pull on the royal blue. So happy to be being proved wrong

Phil Neville still wins. I think Naismith was unfairly treated...however, he wasn't up to snuff, so some of the stick was earned. I think I was mostly surprised at how hard he was treated whilst working very hard.

The last player I can remember who started poorly and then grew into an important, well loved player was Barry Horne. I try my best to never right a player off until they move on and you can fully assess what they brought to the club. Naismith has been excellent recently.

Nah don't agree with the nev thing tbh, in the main he was a good player for us (last season not). Naismith was NOT harshly treated last season, he was truly Awfull!! In every way!! Maybe there were circumstances not taken into account ie injury, new team/league etc but he looked a terrible player. Pleased for him and us he's turned it round.

Every great team needs a squadie like Naismith!

Last season he was played out of position because of numbers being short but with having a bigger squad now Roberto is getting the best out of him.
Naismiths best quality is his reading of the game and has been brilliant last 2 games

So happy for him. Not only does he give 100% every time he puts on the jersey, but he has a lot more ability than people give him credit for. Also seems like a real gent off the pitch as well which is great to see.

Regarding his early performances for Everton, and I know he was played out of position, but I heard a rumour that he suffers from performance anxiety? Has anyone else heard this? To be honest, I can tell from previous interviews that he does lack a bit of confidence, and doesn't really know how good he is. Maybe Martinez has instilled a bit of belief into him this term?

So far hes possibly the worst signing in our history.

He missed a few weeks cos he was hungry, then he missed about 4 open goals, then he sadly picked up a very long term injury.

Im gonna be honest, you would hope the only way is up from this point.
Goat, you know I enjoy your schtick, your sardonic modus operandi . On subject Kone, we agree to disagree. For Everton's sake, I hope you are wrong. Time will tell I guess...as it did for Steven Naismith.

I really didn't believe that Naismith had the speed or physicality to play premiership football.
It shows what confidence can do for a player and also I think the change of style brought about by a different manager.
No criticism of David Moyes intended but I doubt Stephen Naismith would have had as good a time under the style played by the former manager.

He was my man of the match against arsenal, ran his socks off for the cause and I agree he seems like a good lad off the pitch. True professional.

Jagielka? Still shudder at the thought of his first few games (admittedly in midfield and not a whole season)

He always takes time to settle. Told a lot of evertonians this last year but he just got wrote off. Glad to see him doing well now. Great wee player.

I didn't,t like Naissy last season. This season I love Naissy.Sorry Naissy for doubting you.

You are forgiven my child.

Now thou hast admitted thy sins, you have His forgiveness and total love, He is just and fair to all of his followers. And He will continue to slot.

I'm pleased for him. He was frustrating to watch last season, but he looks to have put that behind him. It's great to have goals from the wings. So far Naismith, Mirallas, Gerry have scored 18 (8, 6, 4). When you add that to our central midfielders 9 (Barkley - 6 and Osman - 3) and our fullbacks 11 (Coleman - 7, Baines - 5). We really do have goals all around the team.

If you're looking for most improved player under Roberto Martinez, then look no further than this lad. OK, he still hasn't had a massive amount of pitch time, but what he has has been excellent of late. No more running around like a headless chicken, now he's using his head in the right way, effectively exploiting the space that his team-mates create.

Good first half yesterday. I thought he gave it away far too much for that performance to be a MOTM effort.

Vastly improved, yes.
