IMO hes doing the right thing.

This new Rangers is a complete joke and it appears its being run by the Joker himself.

Any half decent player needs to get away from it ASAP.

Its a dead Club, I personally dont see it lasting a Year.

I have just quoted the sun...shame on me. However it is relevant to this thread so.....

Maybe if he'd stayed his 'fears for Rangers' (a club he said only 7 days ago didn't exist anymore, btw) would be alleviated by the transfer money he could have fetched for them.

All those players who left had to do was to accept their transferring over to newco and then trigger a release clause from that point - a release clause, I believe, that would have been a smaller transfer fee than would have ordinarily been the case.

Naismith and his fellow refuseniks want to have their cake and eat: they want the big signing on fee at a new club AND to be able to keep their name in tact as a player that 'remained loyal'. Well they cant.

I do agree with a lot of what you've said in principle although i would argue that his advisors are doing their job of protecting their clients position. My issue with transfering over would be could you trust the current ownership any more than he previous (current subject to a criminal investigation ) . I just think that it's almost impossible to judge WTF is going on at Ibrox it's a total mess

His advisors work for him not the other way around.

I took an interest in the Rangers administration story and I remember reading from Naismith right from March through to the present how much all the talk about him possibly leaving was wide of the mark and reassuring fans he was going nowhere.

The feller's pretty much taken the piss.

It's easy to know what's happening at Rangers: they're in crisis and everyone who plays for and supports them can expect to take a massive hit. A decision was made by some that they'd prefer to walk away from it all. That's basically all I'm saying about Naismith. he and his colleagues who left decided they'd leave and further their own careers and get a nice pay day rather than stay on and help out. Some people find that acceptable; I find it appalling...and as I've said all along, it's easy to see his side of things until it happens to your club. Believe me, those Evertonians who understand Naismith's position right now would be the same people reaching for a meat cleaver to any Everton player who did that if we were ever in that position.

That first bit about advisors is spot on and not to blow smoke it's good to converse with someone who gets it because most don't & revert to blaming the evil agent I just mean if you were his advisor your advice would be to get out of dodge wouldn't it ? Obviously he doesn't have to take it. Again I agree with you premise of your post but I do also suspect their is more to come fom rangers ranging from the players/staff losing their audi's , whether the manager will quit or be sacked up to whether Whyte has ant influence on D &P or even green. It is a mess so although I feel he's probably deserted the club (particularly being a fan) I can see how he's reached that decision

Absolutely there's more to come in that saga. It's in a state of flux at the moment and it could end up a pile of ashes or it could see them parachuted into the second tier for a season or so. My point is that not all took the view that they'd leave before the dust has settled. It's important to point out that there's two kinds of professional footballer. I'm not that cynical (yet) that I believe they're all out for number 1 and dont give a fcuk about the organisation they play fopr and their tradion and place in people's lives.

I'm just pointing out that basic division, tbh. Nothing more. Apparently, though, that makes me the cynic!

Agreed again but the only issue with tupe is that they had to transfer or not and if you didn't object then legally by waiting to see what happened you'd be severely weakening your own position. Like I say I understand the issues around Naismith's behaviour but the mess that is rangers does add more than a little mitigation.

I keep reading this is 100% done but waiting I may be wrong I think it's probably where is was the other day when I posted that is 'almost done' although that could have changed in the last 24 hrs. I just think given the parties involved until the contract's signed we need to not get too carried away.
