Both these lads had their time with us and then took 'the grass is greener' option with their careers. I'm not sure trying to bring either back to Everton would be a good idea, to be honest.
Never want them back. That chapter is closed. Failing at top four clubs, and if that’s where we want to be, why would we take them?
Sheffield Utd, West Ham or Sunderland for them

Swerve, we've moved on and there's no place for Barkley. I was thinking about if all else failed and we were desperate for a loan CB then I'd take him but that would hinder the development of Branthwaite so it's a no from me.

Calls of “rat” overlook the fact that Barkley went from “diamond”, then in comes that fat headed ignorant ar5ehole Koeman, who replaced him with a £45 million Championship standard player. Not even his free kicks were better. Who wouldn’t be p1ssed off with that? He probably detested him. I know I do. I wouldn’t want to work for a man like that.

Stones was getting abuse from morons in the crowd.

Absolutely no idea if there’s any interest in either, but they would both improve the squad. If Carlo wants them, I’m in.

No issue with players coming back but both a no for me. Don’t rate Barkley and although we need another CB, I don’t think Stones is the answer.

Stones is still getting games for Manchester City. He will stay there unless City bring in some new top class CB, which they appear to be stalling on right now.

I don’t particularly rate Stones and would rather us go out and buy a new CB for the first team, someone that is better than what we already have.

But if we are looking at loans to help us ‘get by’ due to the significant injuries we already have at CB, then I think we could do a lot worse than John Stones.

He’d have the chance to prove himself and if he didn’t, then we could send him back to City.

Emotions aside.

Stones, I'm on the fence.

Barkley, he has qualities that we could use and ones we don't have in the squad - a doucoure maxi. He'd give us options / more formational flexibility. Not a guaranteed starter but I wouldn't be against it.
