Blimey, I thought the same thing myself before last week's game. He'd certainly put himself about and he's scored a few (and I don't mean the ogs ! ). Better than the lightweight, can't shoot straight anyway.

Need to hoof it to Rondon and have Gray or Gordon or Mcneil run onto headed balls. The only way we are going to score.

Get him causing chaos and get Mcneil / Gray who can actually shoot on sight.

Yep, Rondon hopefully is fit enough to do that for 65 minutes and then if we have a lead, get him off and put on someone more mobile to press/track back to hold onto the lead.

You either start Rondon and accept he'll probably be spent after 30 minutes, or you bring him on with 20/30 minutes to go. The problem is he doesn't score goals, he may occupy defenders and make space for others but no one else in the squad scores goals either. It's just all very deflating right now.

Would genuinely give Keane a go up front. We need a presence and Keane is more mobile than Rondon and looks a tidy finisher.

relying on rondon for 60 mins is the desperate situation it has come to.

cannot start with Gordon up again. it looks ridiculous.

sadly if we had a fit striker I feel we would have picked up points in both games played so far as the performances were only lacking a focal point up top.

really poor situation the club are in no matter how Lampard and co sugar coat it.

It's hardly a ringing endorsement of Rondon when he was the only fit centre forward at the club for the first 2 games and wasn't selected. He must be as bad in training as he has been on the pitch.
