Good player, but a big asset for a club with financial "adversity" is his versatility. He can play anywhere in midfield - L/R/CM.

He'll also run his shoes and socks off.

He comes with free training ground fodder as I believe his younger brother is still living with him (and training with Bolton reserves) while trying to find a club

Only drawback: he's a life long ManU fan (n) .....better than RS, but still.....

Re Phil-- must be a ManU fan thing to go with blonde highlights. He and Stu can share highlighting techniques


Might be best to avoid the "Red" thing.... too many bad connotations on this board :P
 
Stuart Holden is a fantastic player, should be at a bigger club than Bolton, love him to come to us but, no money and Harry Redknapp.....
 

A few weeks back he was at the top of the 'most successful tackles made' league. Quite similar to Scott Parker, I think, now that he's added goals to his game. I like him. We seem to be over-loaded with defensive midfielders though.
