Silva should of been all over this.
Buy for 12m get a few goals and assists, as long as he stays in the international set up, sell in 2 years time for 20m when he is 28 years old to a lower league side.

In effect it's a free transfer and the majority of his wages paid for by his future transfer fee.

We did something similar with Naismith.
He's just the Swiss version of Kevin Mirallas, who mostly survives on his reputation, as he played for Bayern.
Kev actually has a better strike rate in the PL too , 29 in 151 as opposed to Shaqiri's 15 in 84.

More news coming before weekend. Again according to my source it will be soul pleasing stuff.

Liverpool want him. End of story.

Was ok for munich and inter, not a bad player to bring off the bench.

From a business point of view it's a no brainer.
Kev's strike rate is better than Shaqiri's.
Kev has 29 in 151 = 1 goal every 5.2 PL games.
Shaqiri has 15 in 84 = 1 goal every 5.6 games.
Shaqiri only gets by on his reputation having played for Bayern and Inter.
He scored 1 in 15 for Inter, and managed 11 in 52 for Bayern.

That’s exactly bang on, the Christmas period the cluster of fixtures where they may have a CL game coming up and he can drop in.

He’d probably play left wing for us, every week and about half of those you’ll want to see him dragged off, his attitude has always been an issue

chatting to some Stoke fans on a stag in Krakow the other week and they said we can happily have Shaquiri for free, hes a lazy waste of space. Put him in the world cup when he really wants it and hes a great player but on 'a cold Tuesday evening in Stoke' when he isn't on it hes a waste of a shirt. I think Im out on this one as far as us buying him, RS can have him....sad thing is he will probably try his hardest for them

The none love for Sig does surprise me a bit, yes we overpaid. But, his without doubt one of our best players. His work ethic, passing, creativity and crossing is up there with the best in the league. With Theo and Tosun and hopefully another great winger he will excel.
People just need someone to attack. Because of the fee, Siggy is an easy target. Theyll pipe down when silva gets us playing football again, and Gylfi gets 15goals and 20 assists next season.

id still question having a 21 & a 23 year old as our centre back pairing

Prefer Holgate and Upamecano myself...

Work better next to Holgate imo. Has the pace to cover and is a different style of defender to Mina, and Mina has the monster physicality and height that Holgate lacks

How quick is Mina?

24 & 25 is abit different to 21 & 23, especially with the limited league games they have played

The only way to get experience is by playing...

That team had a spine of schmeichel, bruce, pallister, keane & cantona.
Plus irwin and mclair
Exactly
With the exception of Scholes all the kids played out wide
Neville (RB) Beckham ((RW) Giggs ((LW)

Butt? Pip? Neville played a few games at centre back too...they also had a few young squad players...
