Summer 2018 Transfer Window

Richarlison / Digne / Mina and a striker (Batshuayi on loan?) would represent an excellent window, provided we make more progress on shifting players out. Relative youth, quality, depth.

We'll start the season with gaps come what may, but this is work in progress as we all know.

Klaassen to Werder for EUR 14m in particular would be excellent business.

I hope we can get Lookman to stay, but have the feeling they'll accept an increased bid. That talk isn't going away, and I think they'll want to recoup at least one player for a decent enough fee given the incomings.

Jags is quicker than any of our other centre backs bar Holgate
Keane is actually the fastest if it’s about pace. Yet he has minimal agility, dexterity, anticipation, or feel for defending in space so it’s completely wasted. Jags used to be blazing, but he’s lost a step or three.

Jags is still quite quick but isnt good wnough anymore. 1 decent game in 5 does not cut it. If the likes of jags and baines are regular starters this season expect bottom to midtable finish.

Mina and Holgate would have a bit if everything between them. Better than watching Williams Jags and Keane.

If we are zonal marking then really we need two big central defenders that can go and attack the ball. Not sure if Holgate will ever be that player. That or we need a Fellaini type midfielder or big centre forward.
