Summer 2018 Transfer Window

We sold Lukaku, Stones etc etc after only a few seasons here.

A financially elite and strong club wait till they have a handful of seasons benefit for them before releasing the player. Obvioulsy Liverpool were asset stripped of Suarerz and Coutinho, but in most case they get their pound of flesh.

Mate if a player wants out he will go. It happens less at elite clubs but it happens.

Paying a fee is one thing, getting the player to want to come is a whole different challenge.
Lets imagine we had 200m to spend on a player, which top quality player would take a step down just because we offered money to their contracted club?
Money isn't everything and you lot get too hung up on transfer fees.

I know, but it'll happen less frequently and to less effect than a club like this who usually dont get the service from unearthed young talent.

completely agree, £100m for Everton is a different thing than £100m for Real Madrid

They sell on THEIR terms. They dont get asset stripped on players who have a good couple of seasons. That's the difference between us and the financial elite. That's why they're called the financial elite. They dont need to bend the knee. We, on the other hand, live a hand to mouth existence due to the number of carpet baggers we have in the boardroom who cant fund the club, so we have to sell off players to get others in.

You know all this. Why you're asking is a mystery to me. I mean, it's not like you're arguing we're a well-governed club are you?...ARE YOU?
All I gleaned from this is strippers, knee bending erotic dancing in the bedroom and money getting launched everywhere.

Where do I sign? x

With his support cast of Naismith Kone Cleverley Etoo Atsu Mirallas Barkley Deulofeu?

If they all stay fit I bet they hit more goals combined next season than any other premier league front three for Everton

Instantly regrets this post.
McGeady was possibly the best player we have ever had. The Scotch Messi. x

Probably Neymar .. purely driven by money , he’s leave after a season and move again and again and again

Will they score as many as Lukaku did on his own?

I agree that it is a real improvement from last season though.

Do they have to? Will they go missing when needed is the question we should ask, in the big games, give me a 1 0 win from one of these guys over Rom putting 4 past Bournemouth or late goals against Hull in a game that was effectively won already.

Someone on here said we should get Luke Shaw IIRC
