Summer rebuild

It's an exciting time for whoever has the responsibility to undertake this rebuild. Assuming the money is being invested of course.

Focus as ever has to be on U23 players with future resale value so that we can continue to increase the pot and remain outside of the reach of PSR by player trading. There is some real talent in the Championship and we need to be tapping into that - market is inflated however and even a decent youngster is going to be sold for a minimum of £15m so the process won't be cheap. We as a fan base can't then bemoan that 'big clubs are stealing our players' as the process to become a 'big club' again will entail 2/3 years of a buy cheap(ish) - sell high(er) strategy.

I've said before there are three free-agents to get at now; David, Gomes, Walker-Peters. All three improve our current squad. Great place to start...

Just hope we don't get to the end of August and are still trying to get deals for Danny Ings and JWP over the line

The only concern for me would be this suggestion that we are looking at British based players, whether that's the Championship or the PL its literally the most expensive market we can shop in. The likes of Huijsen, Kerkez, Kluivert and Semenyo were all under £20m signings, Milenkovic and Murillo less than £15m. There are players out there, we just have to go and look for them, we don't need to be spending massive fee's imo.
